Thermography with Drone for Photovoltaic Fields

â–¹ Prevent Thermal Dispersion in your Fields
â–¹ Improve the efficiency of your Panels in 1 Day
â–¹ At a Fraction of the Cost of other Methods

â–¹ Obtain a certified report

The Advantages of Thermography with Drone

To ensure their efficiency and safety, photovoltaic fields need periodic checks.

Doing it with operators on the ground and manual thermal cameras takes days of work and significant costs in terms of time and wages.

Through a radiometric camera, which has a very high sensitivity to temperature differences, thermographic analysis allows to know the temperature ranges and thermal differences.

The use of specialized drones allows to perform a thermographic inspection in a single day on fields of up to 10 hectares to detect thermal dispersions and the presence of hotspots, damaged cells and non-functioning strings on your panels.

Monitoring your field is crucial

5 years after installation, about 20% of photovoltaic plants have defects that reduce their performance and can cause electrical and fire risks. Constant monitoring is therefore pivotal.

Through the use of advanced instrumentation and software, we are able to analyze any kind of panel, and a few days after the inspection we can deliver you a certified thermographic report with accurate color and infrared reconstruction of your field with the exact position of the hotspots and other inefficiencies. In 24 hours we can perform a complete census of the serial numbers on your panels according to the GSE (Italian Energy Services Company) Standards.

What are the Benifits?

Economic Saving

At a fraction of the cost of hiring staff on the ground for days

Speed of Intervention

Complete inspection in 1 day, with material delivered in 24 hours and certified report in one week

Certified Security

Data are analyzed with state-of-the-art software, geolocated and certified

About Us

Drone Inspection Service is a leading company in Italy in the usage thermographic analysis with drones in the field of photovoltaic and we cooperate with some of the main photovoltaic field managers in Europe.

We also operate in the field of Civil Engineering and in cooperation with the American Hudson Analytix, in the maritime sector for the use of drones in naval inspections.

All our operators are engineers and ENAC  (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) certified drone pilots. Moreover, our Research & Development sector is constantly at work and our cutting edge data analysis laboratory is made up of a team of industrial and process engineers and data modeling experts to guarantee our customers the best thermographic inspection service in Italy.

What Our Service Includes

Senza titolo.jpg

After receiving the coordinates of the site of your photovoltaic plant, our technical department will acquire the necessary additional flight authorizations, if necessary, and will make an appointment to inspect the plant.

Our engineers and pilots, once they reach the site, will draw up the flight plan in accordance with current safety legislation and prepare the drone for flight. Our specialized drone will carry out the inspection flight for data collection by sending the related data to the Drone Inspection Service processing center.

Within 24 hours we will be able to provide you with a geo-referenced 2D orthomosaic of the plant with centimeter accuracy, so as to enable you to quickly and accurately identify the criticalities of the plant, even on large fields.

Within a week you will have a technical report certified by our engineers complete with all the information relating to the efficiency of your photovoltaic plant and the exact position of any thermal dispersion spot or hotspot.

Upon request, we are also able to carry out the complete census of serial numbers of the solar panels in your plant, in accordance with the GSE (Italian Energy Services Company) standards on the certification of photovoltaic plants and access to the related incentives.
